Hey everybody! After speaking w/the local historian (who is quite an antique himself), I was informed of a century-old sawmill site in the woods right across the street from my house! My curiosity got the better of me and I checked it out...he was right!
I've only touched the surface and uncovered about a dozen old medicine bottles, several tools, some silver plated spoons and my favorite...a 1930's (A. Williams) iron airplane toy that is in great shape. Most of the debris at this site is broken, but the good finds wipe all that out...kind of like digging up pulltabs then finding a ring. Lots more diggin to go...I'll keep you informed. BTW...I don't even need my detector for this place. Still working on pics.
