Looks like melted aluminum soft drink or beer cans...

They do have value at container salvage yards. Get all you can...pardon the pun.

Worth maybe $0.60 to $0.90 per lb.

Sure more profitable than coming home with empty pockets.

I thought about that but the one I smacked doesn't want to melt,I posted in another spot, but thanks

I beg your pardon!!! Oh, I thought you said something else :tongue3:

And alot ny ways was auto spell, thanks smart phone supposed to have been anyways....thanks guys

Based on their size compared to the business card, 3.4 grams is about the right weight for gold.

Headed for pawn shop later to have tested, good thinking by the fella that gave me the advice. Thanks for the response.

Hope its gold....does look like it in the second picture (single smashed piece)....aluminum sounds like gold on a detector. How did you try to melt it? You would need above 1200 degrees for aluminum.....lead 620...... a map torch will hit 2020 degrees or so, so it is hot enough.

Ended up being sterling silver. So I talked to the owners of the ranch and they said a old timer used to make conchos up there and sent this pic back.Said that's all they have of some of his work.Died in the 1920s.So thanks to everyone that replied.
