Pretty little Indian. Good luck with the ATP. It's a good detector.

Keep using that AT pro and dig those deep bouncy mid tones and this will happen

Nice Indian. Good thing you went back.

I am going back to all my old places that I searched with my Ace 250, and now running my AT Pro. Increased accuracy and power helped me find this nice coin. Cleaned up well.

What was the reading on your ATP for the IHP's ?

It was at about 8 inches and it was bouncing from 86-91. This is my fifth Indian this year, but tons more clarity.

Wow. That seems high. Only a few of mine were repeatable 80-81. Most were bouncy mid tones

Nice. Bought an ATP after I thought that I had done all I could with my Ace 350 but found out that I picked my spots clean. I actually miss the simplicity and accuracy of my Ace 350 over my ATP.

I thought it was high. So I went back to that place again. I didn't ground balance properly and I took my iron disc to 40. I think that's why it read so high. I was following some advice of a friend and the iron disc was throwing all my signals really high. Now most of my wheat's today where in the 80-81, but no Indians. I did hit some nickels that read true at 53, a nice 1941 just missed.

GREAT Indian!! I love seeing one of those in the hole!!
Whenever I read posts on people's AT pro reading on particular coins, I notice then are generally close, but hardly ever the same throughout the whole realm... A 53 for me had always been foil, but I still dig it! Nickels are 50-52, or those sweet beaver tails... Still always dig it. Indians, unless 'fatties', 67-70, generally hold a 68 though. Copper memorial, 80. Wheat 77-79. Clad dime 81. Silver dime 82-83.. Clad quarter 85-88, silver 90-91... Just went on a rant there with numbers, but I guess because it is late here, and I believe that mineralization and conditions of everyone's areas makes these numbers different... Anyway, happy New year everyone!!

Congrats on the IHP.
Although, I never really dug a lot of Indians with the PRO,
Most of the coins recovered with an "81" reading have been pennies or dimes.
My ground balance in the NYC area is set at 84.

I love those Indians, next time you get a bouncy signal like that, try switching to "all metal-zero discrim" then see what it sounds like and what number it reads?
Nice find!

I appreciate all the help I can get. I just bought my ATP after Xmas and still trying to figure out all the configurations. Nice to hear all the advice. Most of my soil is grounding out at 80-86, so I am not sure if that's why things are reading high, but day I hit three wheat's and they were both at 80-81. A clad dime at 82 and another nickel at 52-53. Thanks again for all the input.
