Hit the farmhouse again with my son and got the 3 wheats, the oldest is a 1909 yet no V.D.B.:dontknow: oh well. Its my oldest wheat and in nice shape too. the others are 1919 and 1913, no mint marks. and the little toy car, shotgon shell, and junk clad. One of the tiny lead rings reads _ _ _ _k Valley?? i cant make it out but its cool none the less. Thanks for looking and HH IMG01065-20130430-2119.webpIMG01066-20130430-2119.webpIMG01068-20130430-2122.webp

Cool little car !

Tootsie Toy Hopefully 8-)

Tiny Lead ring ?
Lead Seal ? Rail Road possibly ? (or actual "ring")
Sure on the K ?
& 5 letters total _ _ _ _k ?

Only Valley that comes to mind for me is Lehigh Valley But that is just because
it's near my area

yeah jeff im pretty sure its a tootsie, i got 3 others from this site.
that lead thing im referring to is the one to the immediate right of the shotgun shell, i know the pic is terrible but i can deffinately make out "valley" and above it says _ _ _ _ R K now that i look closer at it i spotted the R. Not sure what it is its about the size of a pinky nail (lol i know wierd comparison)

Yes that's the one I thought you meant.
it's a little odd in your pic it looks like a Finger ring filled with Dirt,
But I'm still thinking Lead seal.

i think your right!, i found something similar on a yahoo search of lead railroad seals, never heard of em before now. Thanks!

Nice toy car

a Quick Google of Railroads
does Newark Valley work ?
I know it does by number of letters,
but can you get a third letter ?

Newark Valley Railroad Depot - Newark Valley, NY

YES! it does, i found a W at the top and the others look like it can spell Newark! that right there is the reason i like this site, alot of helpful people. Even though its only a lead seal it was fun trying to figure out what it was. Thanks again!

"only a lead seal" ? :laughing9: I love finding Lead seals :laughing7: That's History
