Went back to the site where i dug the Walker last Thursday and hunted a different part of the property. Started out kind of slow, but managed to pull a nice lookin Barber dime when i least expected it, and that sure gave me hope. This darn Deus is funny sometimes. The signal didnt sound great, and there was some junk in the hole. Sometimes i get a great sounding signal that i know is silver, and it turns out to be a short piece of brass tubing or something. Other times i get a decent signal that i think is probably not going to be a good target, and i dig and get silver. I sure havent been able to call it lately. Guess thats why you have to dig it all. Ended up digging a IHP before taking a break for lunch. Came back after lunch and dug another IHP. Also ended up with 3 wheaties. Its been a while since ive been on a silver streak. Hope i can keep it up. The dime had some ugly black tarnish on the front. I did the boiling water, alum foil, baking soda method, and it turned out pretty good. Finished the day with a bowl of seafood gumbo and a shrimp remoulade salad, now its time for some fresh baked cookies and sweet tea.
