Nice looking old padlock

Found this over the weekend at a foundation I was able to date back to the mid 1800s. All set up and ready to see if electrolysis can do anything for this one!

Nice piece................I'm really starting to like relic hunting and the interesting pieces that people are finding.

Turned out pretty well.... Electrolysis revealed a logo on the front of the lock. It ended up being a Fraim-Slaymaker lock from 1925-1929. Arm won't move, but I'm okay with that. It's still pretty pitted, but a neat find either way!

I agree with RC that relics are starting to move forward in my list of wants. I sure thought that lock was older than 1920's. it just has that look of an 1800's one to me. Very nice recovery. Thanks for sharing.
