I had a great time this weekend & got my dirt therapy! Saturday I visited a distant relative who had a family photo I was looking for (so happy he found it!). He also happens to own an 1840 plantation (beautiful, fully restored). He thought one part of the house may be older. I confirmed his suspicions, my second target was a late 1700s shoe buckle! I also found a neat assortment of other relics including a silver pocket watch frame. Yesterday I got out with my buddy Jim & we hit a couple of spots we’ve pounded. He found a nice Civil War bullet & I got an Indian Head & an ornate shoe buckle piece. It was a beautiful weekend to get out & save some history!
