Due to work and other obligations I have not been able to get it out hunting lately finally got out today have a great time found lots of clad, a really old spoon from a house site from the 1800's and I was happy to find a silver barber quarter in really nice shape 1908. Not sure about the marks on the spoon I will keep you all posted also I found a very small I wouldn't say ring in terms of jewelry but somewhat like a bird leg tag I will keep you posted on what that says. Enjoy the pictures.

looks pretty nice to me

Heck of a nice barber! Have yet to find one of those yet, nice finds! Pretty sure you are right on the band being a leg tag for a bird.

Barber quarters don't come up that often. So when you get one it's pretty awesome! Way to go!

Great finds! Thanks for sharing...

Gorgeous Barber quarter. Congratulations!

sweet barber!!

Thanks everyone!

Congrats! Very jealous, that is just an awesome find! Still looking for my first larger than dime silver!

Very nice shape, you found a beaut.

Those silver quarters blow your headphones off lol. When I found a silver dollar earlier this year I almost didn't dig it because I though aluminum can. I'm sure glad I dug it. Nice finds congrats.

Nice quarter it looks pretty there contrasted against the soil! But a intact spoon is harder to find for me and that maybe because I get most of my older items from fields, hope to hit some new fields this fall and maybe get some good oldies, the waiting is hard!

Congrats on the Barber.... very nice.

YEP, super nice Barber!!!! Still on my wish list. Congrats!

Awesome coin, it's in great shape!

yeah it is, very nice indeed.

Beautiful Barber! Still haven't found one of those yet. I found a bird tag a couple years ago, and if you report it to the US Fish and Wildlife Service they will email you a certificate you can print out that tells you what kind of bird it was, when it was tagged, etc. Pretty neat! Mine was for a "ringed billed gull" which I thought was pretty interesting until I looked up what it was... a seagull. The kind that poops on your car, but only after you've just washed it :tongue3:
