nice silver thimble, ornate pewter button i.d.

havent had time to post lately, found both of these over the last week, i found this thimble at an antique flea market i did over the weekend, i brought my detecter and went swinging after the sun went down.....came up with a ton of clad, but not sure if the thimble was lost by a vendor or was there long before, it is a very old area and was much deeper than any other targets at 8 or 9 inches. the button came from a lone spot a 100 yrds from a cellar hole that i found 6 more pewter buttons, 1739 Hibernia, a few musket balls and a broken brass buckle all in a 10x10 area, need help i.d.ing both the thimble is engraved and has a bell shaped makers mark inside and no lettering i can make out.....appreciate any help

Love that thimble. It's always nice to see a design on a pewter button. Most come out toasted in my area.

i hear you out of the 7 i found all completely trashed except for 2 this one has way less detail

Seven buttons on small area 8x8. Should be enough detail on the 2 buttons to help ID. I hope someone out there can ID.

Matty you've been on quite a tear! Live pewters. You know those babies are old. Finding any pewter that's not completely destroyed is not easy. Hope you get your id. Keep up the good hunts man

The thimble is lovely and in great shape. Many, including the one I found last year, get mashed out of shape while in the ground.
