When I got up this morning I had gold prospecting on my mind. Loaded up the truck with buckets, sluice, etc... At the last minute I decided to grab the AT Pro. When I got to the stream I wanted to sluice in I found it flooded and moving wicked fast. Couldn't get anywhere near the spot I wanted to get to. Was kinda bummed out but guess what....the AT is in the back seat :) and there is a park close by. I got some clad, lots of tabs and can slaw and headed back to the truck. I was literally 2 feet from the sidewalk when I got a deep, faint high tone. Depth meter was maxed out at 10+ and vdi stayed blank. I said screw it I'll dig one more piece of trash and go home. At about 10-11 inches this is what came out of the hole...

Came home and just gave it a dry tooth brushing, gave it a dose of nose grease across the date and here it is.

Was a great day!

Good save, the coin and your day. Congrats

Persistance!

Great find, makes you never want to pass up another target...

Nice recovery on old copper coin! Always dig the iffy signals on the AT Pro and Gold, most times you will be pleasantly pleased with the results.

Nice I skip to many of those tones especially late in a hunt very nice

Love them old coppers. You made the best of the situation.

I didnt plan on detecting today and certainly didnt expect to get a lc from a hammered city park. Thanks all....made my day!

I'm stuck in this wicked slump of no really "good" finds and this is my best find this year.

Hey great job bud. We are so lucky to live in a state littered with old stuff
