Nickel signals.... you just never know... paid off

Hey everyone;

I've been chasing buff's & V's this year. Glad I'm on this quest.

After knocking down 17 nickels this past Sunday morning got another solid nickel signal...thought I was going on 18. The last thing I was thinking about was gold.

18K... weird looking ring but we think old. Had a jeweler test it.

lot of gold rings (especially white gold) read off in the nickel range on a lot of machines - used to know a lot
of guys that would discriminate nickels - I try and dig it all - one of my better years for gold

It just seems that nickels, lead sinkers. pull tabs, gold rings, it's just the nature of the beast, early this year at a local park along the river, dug ONE more pull tab/ nickel signal, turned out to be a 2 1/2 gram gold nugget. Go figure.
