How many of you had nicknames as a kid :dontknow: and what is it?

I'm just curious as to the name and the origin, usually there is a good story behind the christening :laughing7: When I think about it, we were somewhat like the last episode of Sienfeld.. We had a little pet name for everyone

Mine was Gurdy.. The only reason for this moniker was no one was able to pronounce my last name. I didn't help that either, as I would pronounce it differently every other time. :tongue3: What also helped was Dovovan's Hurdy Gurdy Man was released that year.

Tommy C aka Bones.. Tommy was not only thin, but his face was basically a skull with a thin layer of skin on it. He had a pronounced forehead and somewhat sunken eyes that reminded everyone of a skeleton. Bones had a musical talent, and was able to pick up a guitar and play nearly every song just from listening to it a few times. Sadly, Bones is MIA and probably became a slave to his addiction.

Orlando aka Ringo... Ringo hated his nickname, but he really looked exactly like Ringo Starr and I think that upset him the most :laughing7: Ringo had the same long hair from Ringo's "Let It Be" days. Every time we called him Ringo, he would say, "My name is Orlando." Somehow Orland never flowed from out tongues. Sadly Ringo OD more than 30 years ago.

Jimmy De Jesus aka Jimi.... Jimi love Hendrix and was always listening to his music... Jimi was the first friend I lost to drugs nearly 40 years ago and one of the reasons I parted company with most of my friends. Jimi had a smile that would light up a room, and I can see it to this day.

Kevin aka TJ (tooth Jones) Kevin was a slight lad, but he had a pair of choppers that his face would have to grow into. He would smile and you would swear you were looking at 2 tombstones. :laughing7:

Benny aka Bosco Benny is a dark skinned Latin, and a great lover of music to this day. It is easier for Benny to list concerts he hasn't seen, as opposed to those he has seen. Because of Benny's color we called him Bosco after our favorite chocolate drink ;D

The Palm Brothers
Julio aka Big Palm aka Moe... He was the older and larger brother for starter's so therefore Big Palm. He also sported a haircut much like the early Beatles and Moe from the 3 Stooge's.

Lil Palm... A smaller and younger version of his brother.

This wasn't even the tip of the iceberg so to say.

Bet you can't guess what my nickname was as a baby!!!!!! HH :laughing7: CHUG :laughing7:

Unfortunately I don't know you too well, and I never knew you as a child, so I couldn't fathom a guess. I can however state, "I bet you heard coochie coochie coo a million times." :laughing7:

So please, enlighten us ;D

Funny, I was really about to say that. It came to me while I was taking a shower and I oped to have beaten you here. I didn't :(

If that was incorrect, my second guess would have been that you were a very determined crawler and would buffalo your way through anything and just keep chugging along. :icon_thumleft:

My baby nickname was Nickodemus... named after my grandmas bar.. those old people in Denmark are crazy. they wanted to name me Nickodemus but du to Danish beliefs it is not legal since Nickodemus was a Danish Saint, it would be Blasphemy.
