NJ where can I get my Fisher 1265x fixed?

One of the lead wires from the battery pack gets hot in about 10-15 seconds. Anyone service these or have any ideas?

I'm no expert on MDs, but most electronics that uses batteries will have a diode across the battery input that shorts the power if the batteries are inserted backwards. This protects the circuitry, but places a direct short on the batteries (and will heat up the cable). 1st, check battery installation. If it's OK, the diode may be bad. Fisher should be able to repair this.
