Primary Interest:
Beach & Shallow Water Hunting
I took off to my step dads place on the 14th to put some of my 'stuff' in to storage at his house and he said I could dirt hunt his property. so I jinxed myself telling my girlfriend with the amount of old cars around I'd find nothing of value in the lawn. after a few hours I've proved that to be the truth...
I found old car junk - bolts, cut up soda cans, old pieces of curtain rods, some weird gears (probably from a toy) and finally some strange piece of brass. I managed to find about three 1960s memorial pennies - and was pretty disgusted because I was hoping for silver. so I decided to give up for the day and head over to the super market to pick up lunches for the weekend shift...while I was there I noticed coin star and remember reading you guys all check it while walking by!!! I found 21 cents. a clad dime and penny stuck together and a nice 1949 silver dime. ok it made my day!

Ill take silver any way I could get it!!!!!

I'm going back there as soon as the weather clears here in PA- I thought about it and his property borders the local church - the people from that church tend to park along our back field so I'm guessing years of people in the winter time parking there and the plowing of snow would push anything they dropped in to our field so that is going to be my next place I detect... I might even ask to check their property across the street, as they have a old grass covered parking lot that gets used every weekend. might be interesting- as I was just thinking about my step dads main path to the mail box from the house...duh.

I'll check back in if I find anything cool. and maybe some time soon post a pic you can see the date on that dime...
