Greeting!! Been checking this site out for a while; finally decided to join so I could participate more. I live in SE Virginia and work out and about so I get around to lots of areas. I have been detecting since using a White's Coinmaster in the 80's as a teenager in southern Mississippi. Played with a Bounty Hunter for a while in NE Tennessee but am now much more serious with it since I have more time now. I love old house places and civil war sites. I enjoy the background computer work of looking over old maps and then trying to find the sites on the ground. I enjoy the hunt and then trying to piece together the history of a relic. Seems I often find things that I have no idea what they are and am excited about the knowledge on this site from my fellow diggers.
