No Pics of the Property Today.
I Spent over 2 Hours Trying to Find a Tungsten carbide wedding ring in an area Less then 10 feet X 10 Feet

by the time I gave up, I Criss crossed the area in So many Angels,
and I Lowered my Disc, So low I was picking up the Ground Conditions.
I'm confident
if it is there, it is Super deep He put a Foot or so of Fill in the area :(
since 2016. because of a Dip there.

Sorry on the No GO. That can be frustrating. Carbide rings can bounce a long way if dropped on hard surface. Tell him you need to expand your search to an Acre by Acre :)

When I gave up for the Day, He asked me if I wanted anything For Looking.

I Told him I Never charge, But if I had found it, I would have asked if I could Hunt the Property sometime.
He told me I'm welcome anytime & That His Neighbors would probably Let me too.
When I left he was across the street Checking with one of His Neighbors.
I told the woman who Showed Up, I'd check with him Sunday When I come Back.

Naturally I told him, The reason Rings get lost is because they Usually aren't where yo expect.
&I'll keep trying.

You got some clad and a cool whistle. You might still find what your looking for and that looks and sounds like it would be a great place for a return hunt in the future. Congrats on the finds.

At least you tried! Got some finds too. :icon_thumleft:

You gave it a good try Jeff, plus ya got a chance to get out and detect, which I wasn't able to do... Sad crying.gif

I'm sure you will eventually find the ring. And hopefully much more. That is quite a chunk of land. Any threads on the "whistle"? Or in it? The whatsits can be as fun to find as anything.

Pretty old neighbors....1900!??!?

One thing, about those tungsten rings? If hit hard enough, they tend to shatter!

No Threads.

Any additional Pieces must have been added by Pressure.

He cleaned it out for me as I was hunting,
Don't know if he May have Pushed some type of Reed out of It with the Dirt :dontknow:

Was Very Tired Last Night.
Went to bed Very Early , Still need to See if I can find it's Twin Online.

the area he considered it dropped was grass.
he said he took it off on purpose to do some work on
some type of tool. I didn't hear what he called it.
but he said he either set it on the tool, or hung it from it, while he worked.

when done, he wheeled the tool back in, mowed the grass and went in the house,

where he noticed he didn't put his ring back on.

there was a dip there at that time, but he still could have caught it with the riding mower blade.

This was 2016, I Don't know how Tungsten Weathers in the Ground Either.

But he only Recently Found the Lost My stuff site to post the Loss.

2nd Ring he's Lost, 1st. Was Gold & Lost in the Delaware River.
Said he Dove for it,(he was a diver) but No Luck

Fun hunt! Looking forward to hear about your great finds in the area properties! :occasion14:

Old house with lots of Kids..Sounds like it should be loaded with old change money... Good luck and congrats on the new spot

I have hunted for the same gold ring for an older lady at least 10 times now...she says she watched it fly of her hand when throwing out scraps for her dogs. After 5 or so hunts I'm thinking the dogs took it with the scraps and "processed" it later somewhere else...??? If he covered it with fill it may never be found, but good luck!!!

Still No Luck on Ring Search.

Actually Worst Luck on finds.

Instead of Spending 2 hours in a 10' x 10' Area cleaning it out, Like Last time,
I Started there & Walked Like sun Rays from the Suspected Drop site,
sunburst-background-wallpaper_1284-3494.webp
In case the Lawnmower Threw it

and just concentrated on Repeatable Signals
Between Tiny Gold below nickel & Quarter for 2 hours.

only keepers 57 cents.

DSCF0010.webp

Large Hunk of Lead ( not White :( )

And Pump Organ Reed. [Ike cartwheel Dollar coin for Size only,
Not a recent Dig]

DSCF0002.webp

Other then That, I found a Bone shaped Tag from Danville Animal Hospital,
Which when I asked him about it he said it belonged to One of His Dogs he had to put asleep
And wondered where the Tag Got To.
Since he Clutched it in his Hand, I Knew he was keeping that.
So I Didn't Ask to, or get a Pic of It.

Other finds Filed under Trash

DSCF0014.webp

He motioned Towards This,
which is in bad shape now, and the porch roof is being propped up
And he said He can Get me Permission for that.
fu002034.webp

I told him Because of Time of Year & Weather Changing, That I'd Call
When I'm Ready. Ground was already Very Cold on the Fingers.

But looking at the Tax site, 2 Permissions may be needed.
Owner apparently Sold some of the land to the Neighbor to The East
but kept the house. Maybe planning on moving the house West

odd.webp

.....and we now interrupt this hunt for the freezing cold winter season... I was in Chicago this weekend and it was already hinting on bitter. Just a matter of time before this site hears the cries of boardroom :) Y'all are welcome to come to California, I just got a turn of the century church site permission. Your only problem is you might get sun stroke.

Chillier than that in Chicago The snow is coming! I believe there will be a lot of it this year. Asked the persimmon seed
