u mean were saying NO 2 sueing? in this country? how did this happen? no no no im on the wrong planet or something. bout damn time!!!

The New part realy Dosn't effect us.
it just means A land owner can't be sued if a Hunter
using the land accidently shoots someone who isn't on the land.
(don't Laugh, with all the Lawyers, I can see
one Blaming the Land owner)

But The Big surprise is,

IF a landowner opens their property to " FREE Recreation"
he dosn't need to worry about Liability
.

I take it those who Charge must still carry insurance.

Blows the

"I can't let you search because of Liability"
Excuse away.

2006 court case in which the owner of a Lehigh County orchard was found partially liable for damages for a situation where a stray bullet fired by a hunter traveled about a half-mile before accidentally striking a woman sitting in a car on a different property.

I like the way it now reads. Of course someone somewhere will still try to sue but hopefully the courts will throw it out. This country has become the laughing stock of the rest of the world because of the court decisions made here.

that should be a national law.

so if that is true since the government owns the national parks they cant be sued because they opened the land for FREE recreational activities then it should all parks...lol i know but i wish it was

IT TOOK ME A WHILE TO FIND IT . IT CAN BE FOUND UNDER THE PA. SENATE BILL NO. 735 SESSION OF 2007.

How can we find a copy of the current law? That would be useful to have when asking permission!!

I Don't Know, It's a little hard to
read with the Colors Involved,
But I got this in the Mail from
State Rep Tim Seip's office.
Most likely sent to all Registered Voters.

Now if we can get him to open gamelands to us......

Game lands should only be used by hunters who paid for the land with their money. It would be nice to have permission but the purpose of game lands is for hunting wildlife. There would be so many problems with detecting on game lands that I dont see how we could ever iron out all the details (dirupting hunters, disrupting wildlife and plants just to name a few).
Just remember that the game commision recieves no money from the state general fund and is financed by license sales and the pittman fund (tax on firearms and ammo). All property has been bought by these funds with the exception of a small percent that has been donated to them.

Although Gamelands are Not used 365 days a year for Hunting,
There are too many who would not Fill their holes,
This is an unfortunate fact of life.

and there are also Too many who would worry about that one Animal
who may Break an ankle in it, even though there are more Natural
Dangers for animals to get hurt already.

And there are not enough of us to make the Game Commission
think "Ca-Ching $$$$$$" which is really what would be needed.
Proof to them they can make BIG Money Selling us Permits.
