Hi all,
Finally the snow and frozen ground let me go hunting. After working on my snow plow all morning, I packed up the truck and went relic hunting and then hunting one of my favorite spots. Boy was it muddy, but glad to be in the field and relic hunting.

I didn't find much, it was just to muddy. I did find the glass salt shaker and some sort of a hub cap, really old, and some horse harness stuff.

I then went to one of my old stand by places and was able to hunt in the woods. I did find one wheat penny and some other change. But the neatest thing I found was a Rocket hanging in a tree, it still had the parachute on it.

Well that was my first outing in February. Not really a great day, but I was able to get out and exercise some. Just trying to limber up from long winters nap!!!

Hope you all had a good weekend.

Hey Denny.

The rocket is cool. I remember as a kid loosing a rocket or two. ;D

I broke out the detector yesterday also. It was a nice day if you avoided those low messy spots. I guess you found a couple. I also just went for some relics but ended up at a local park and found a nice coin (I'll try to post tomorrow).

Today Nate was free so we went out in the snow. It was not good. The snow was sticking to the coil and causing other problems - falsing (at least on my machine). We pretty much gave up after an hour or so. At least we dusted off the detector and know that the season is just around the corner.

Glad you got out dennis. NASA may be contacting you for help if we lose a rocket. HH.

Thanks Bob, It was nice to get out and hunt again. But boy am I ever sore. I was going to go arrowhead hunting today, but have to go to a 70 Anniversary for our Boy Scout Troop here in Bluffton, thought I would donate some of my Boy Scout finds to the group's museum.

Take care, hope you and your son get out soon and start showing those goodies you guys always find.

Thanks Quindy, it was good to get out in the fresh air and detect. Was really muddy, but had a good
time, kind of sore today from all the bending down. Hopefully we all will be able to get out more this winter.

That's neat, did the film have any pictures on it. Maybe we should start a club of Recovered Rockets. LOL

Hope you get out soon, I'm going to try it again tomorrow.

Glad you were able to get out and finally hunt, Denny. Look forward to us getting together this year once I get back on my feet. Thanks again for your visit :icon_sunny:
