Had to open a case for a non payment on an item. After the case closes I relisted item on eBay. Its been up there for a week and I get an email received payment on PayPal. And it ends up being that the person who never paid for the item and I open the case and close it on them paid for it. How do they still have the option to pay for it after you close a case for nonpayment? It does not delete also their account to? Should I send the thing it took a month for him to pay and never responded. Or would you refund the money?

You should contact them to see what happened. Maybe the guy got hit by a truck.

The safer thing to do would be to refund the payment.

If you do refund the payment, be sure and block the bidder from future purchases.

This. Otherwise I can see the person claiming you never sent it. Then you'll be out the money and the item.

Did you close the case early or did you wait until ebay closed the case and refunded your final value fees?

I believe I waited until you pay close the case. It's like I had eight nonpayments at the same time. And this just happened to be one of them just seems weird that there still able to pay for it.

I think that the buyer has a certain amount of time to respond or then it is automatically decided in your favor (seller). That is probably what happened to Beach.

I don't think it disappears. I had someone return something. I still had the option to refund their money, even though I already did it. (Not from PP, Ebay had the refund button.) I had to open a case to get my fees back, since the buyer did not use the refund method on Ebay. I still had an option to print a label!
