Actually looks like the Interstate may get shut down Shortly.

in the Southbound Lane.



Just measured 6" Inches here so far







Which is 2" More then they Predicted would land by 4AM Tomorrow.

at this rate, We may get 18"

Here in northern Maryland we have a total slushy mess. One place I dig will be clear by Saturday however. Clear of snow that is.

I Expect my Season is Over.
I'll be totally Surprised if I see Sun & Soft Ground before at least March

Ya Never know, With the Amount of Rain We get around here.
I read this was the 2nd wettest Year on Record so Far.

Warm rain could translate to Soft Ground, Otherwise,
We could get Buried, which is what they are predicting.

Hopefully this isn't the One Prediction the Weather People get Right

In south central PA we also had about 6 inches of snow .At about 3:00PM it changed to rain while the temp was still 28 degrees The roads became a mess quickly . People in the ditches, stuck on the road, pulled of; not really, the road talking on their phone or smoking a cigarette or just standing on the road It appeared that it never occurred to them they could turn around and go back the direction they came from so they just stopped and caused traffic to back up even more . As for what is to come I also think we received the first of many more to follow this winter season . It is not even winter yet that starts in thirty some days . Plus the largest amount of snow for the 17/18 season actually fell on the first day of spring 2018

a Motel is at Least Safe & Hopefully Cozy.

Today's Weather, as of Right Now.



They may Push the End time back an hour several times this morning.
They usually do. But by 8 AM / 9AM it should really be done.
and the roads should all be wet.

Roads Never officially closed here, Except temporary Closures,
But on the Scanner I heard of a Few Closures of Back roads in the
northern part of the County.
Mainly the ones with Multiple accidents & Ones with Steep Hills.

Any closed roads will probably reopen by Sun up.
if not already.

My Niece Lives in Harrisburg,She had 9" yesterday afternoon already.
I Probably won't Measure my Total till at least 8 AM / 9AM

According to 16, add another 3" to 5" the totals
by 8AM today

Snowed about another inch between 2 :00AM and 6 :00 AM Temp is 33 degrees now and can see a bit of clearing in the morning sky . If the roads are passable the fresh cover of snow should make for some pretty landscape as the sun tries to come out. Now just 35 days until the first day of winter and 89 days until the first day of spring

I predicted a lot of shoveling for you guys. It appears the persimmon seed is correct. Early snow and late spring. It has snowed in NYC yesterday That is my first recollection of early NYC in years. Time to turn your detectors into wall art for a awhile! or pack it up and head WEST

I remember a Pre-Halloween Snow a couple years ago

That does not look good. Sorry no-like for that kind of weather. I drove 12 hours straight yesterday to get home because there's a front coming and I just didn't wanna deal with it this afternoon going over the Rockies today.

Just waiting for me to shovel so he can Plow me In again.
So, I'm just going to play the same waiting Game !
