Not sure on type so I'll just call it a stemmed point. Found when I was very young in Madison County Alabama. Guessing material is either Jasper or heat treatedchert. 2 3/4 by 1.

Could it be an adena? Be my first guess at a point, I tried on a different post of guessing if a piece was natural.

That looks so much like a Florida point, love the red ones.

Red coral, chert or Jasper; can't go wrong with either or (especially coral).
 
I just posted on HP's post(frame # 8) about how I like the rock that his are made of and I wanted to mention the ones you post also, like this one.
 
Very nice. Is that heat treated?
