I'm headed down to NC in a couple months and I'm wondering if anyone knows the laws around there. I'm going to do some checking but I'd appreciate it if anyone who lives there could tell me if MDing is allowed in Parks and on beaches. Any info would be appreciated.

according to a book i have there is no detecting on state owned land in north carolina.

If you're going to the Outer Banks, you can't detect in Cape Hatteras cause it's a national seashore. It's OK to hunt in Nags Head though. Should be pretty good there this time of year. A lot of tourists now!

I'm going to the Outer Banks but I'll be in Kitty Hawk. I wish I was there now but it won't be until early September.
