North Carolina "New" treasure hunter, Hi!

Greetings all,
I'm very new to metal detecting, like I just received my metal detector today, a Bounty Hunter IV. I'm really "green" when it comes to knowing what to, but I've been watching some videos on YouTube about metal detecting, and I've learn quit a few good ideas. I'm planning a vacation to the Outer Banks in September and I was wondering if anyone has been there treasure hunting. I wanted to know any good places to go, so any help I can great would be greatly appreciated. I hope to hear form .... anyone, soon.
