I believe it's a state historic site now. Stoped to look at it as I live near it and not much remains on the top side. Just don't get caught detecting there.......

yeah, i live just 4 or 5 miles from the fort and always wondered about hunting there. i have never hunted anywhere but my own land and a couple friends land. anyone in the statesville nc area want to go somewhere, give me a shout.

My brother rented the land next to it until a few months ago. I'm a relic hunter and will be moving to hickory week after next. Would love to meet some local hunters.
