Got permission to hunt a 100 year plus site today (Friday) but I believe it has been hunted before. All I got was a 1910 wheat, silver spoon (W.R. Rogers * (IS), a bell (Might be from an old crank phone) and I believe it's a horse bridle rosette, shotgun stamp an the usual mason jar lids. Second spot was an old country park, which I believe is a virgin site. I found all this change and the doggie lighter in about a hour and half. Allot of area to left, but most it has about 2" of standing water on it. We had another big storm Thursday night. Got the 58 D wheat here and a few 65 quarters, dimes and pennies and nickels in the sixties. Will try it again when it dries out some.

Your doggie lighter is beyond cool Can you find a manufactures stamp?

HEY JACK YOU BETTER KEEP AN EYE ON THE BEAGLE LOOKS LIKE SHE MAY BE IN HEAT...................NICE FINDS.

You must be on a wonderful site. Congrats!

That is a lot of targets to dig. Congrats on the nice hint and permission. :occasion14: I bet you'll find an IHP there.

Sorry had to work a 12 hour shift today. Will try and get later Sunday.

It might be. There is a ton of change everywhere. I only hunted the areas the were out of water and that wasn't much.

Was close Loco 1910, was one away from being a IHP.

wow that's a really cool lighter!, and with all that clad its likely to be an unhit spot
good job !

I am seriously loving that pooch lighter, Gary! Well done!

Strange how you dug that many coins, and some early 1900's coins, and not a single silver. The same phenomenon is happening to me at my old tavern site. Tons of clads, plenty of pre-'64 coins, but nothing silver... yet.

I predict that this is what will happen for you: You'll get into a patch of silver and even earlier stuff, and we'll be seeing a post from you soon.
