I have been ordering a box of halves every week from my personal bank. The last 8 boxes scored 1 ben Franklin. Iwas gettin kinda tired of that so I decided to switch banks. I ordered a box from a different bank last week and found 3 40%. Today the new bank's box of $500 gave up 1 90% 2 40% a 1996 proof and 1960 South African 1D with a hole drilled in it (what ever a 1D is). I was a nice change, I took the clad to my dump bank to replenish my cash. I had to work 60 miles away in Flint today. While in Flint I stopped a Chase bank and asked for halves. The teller had 8 dollars and one Ike. Scored a 40%. The next teller over had 80 dollars in hand rolled and 1 and half rolls of Ikes. I took a peek in the halves saw some silver, I saved them so my son Tanner could open them. Tanner scored 3 90% and 16 40% and get this, a 1960 South African 1D with a hole drilled in it, what are the chances of that. I could not resist opening the roll of Ikes, (I have never seen a roll of ikes only loose and in envelopes). This is the fun part of CRH I was dreaming of a roll of Peace Dollars and found...... all common Ikes. Oh well.
I stopped at a bank as I was picking up my kids from school and scored the 3 red seal 2 dollar bills. The nicest one has a red star. I know it adds value but I will have to check out Ebay to see how much.
It was a fun day
Keep on Searching, Dad and Tanner
PS I included the roll of Ikes in the photo because I have never seen one before.
