I went to a park I and many others have hunted to death. A place where I have used all my previous detectors. I went by where the picnic area is. I started to get a deep jumpy signal that hit mostly in the low 40's. The etrac said it was 6-8 inches. I said what the heck, I had only found a copper ring and a brass owl charm so far with my clad. I dug down and up comes a wheatie 1917. I thought this park was newer and had not found any coins older than the 60's before. I asked myself what is the chance, and started to swing and listen for that signal again. And there it was a couple of feet away, same depth same type of signal. I dig and I find another deep wheatie 1953. I would find 2 more. A 1924 and a 1939. This was the biggest wheatie day I have ever had. Now I am thinking if there are deep wheats then there must be deep silver. I will be going back if we don't get snow tomorrow and try to find some.

Also should I try my stock coil using ttf or my sunray X5 sniper? It is a little trashy in this park but not sure if I would loose too much depth with the sniper. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks for looking!
