After finding that UXO, I continued to hunt on base at Grafenwoehr and in Etzenricht. Here's what I found:

DSCF0459.webp

A .50Cal API Round, a .45 ACP, a 9mm Para, .30 Cal Carbine, a fired .38 cal wadcutter, a fired .30 Cal Carbine round, a damaged booster, three 10 Reichpfennig pieces, 2 from 1941 and one from 1943, 10 Bundesrepublik Pfennig, 4 US Clad quarters, 3 pennies, 3 clad dimes, one clad nickel, a metal button, 50 Reichspfennig from 1921, a watch, a brass valve, 1st lieutenant bar, two US novice Parachutist Badges, 10 Euro Cents, 20 Euro Cents, a
2 Deutchmark piece from 1951, a 50 Bundesrepublik Pfennig, and an Austrian 2 Hella from 1894. I also made good on a promise to my wife to find her a horseshoe! Just cleaned and boiled it and I think it looks great!

EDIT:

I'm trying to upload more pics but I keep getting a prompt that this is not a valid image file. I'm trying to upload a .jpg .

great finds. love the parachute pins

How do you loose a 50 cal round? A good 2 days work.

Wow. Reminds me of my days in the army in Mainz. I used to find that kinda stuff all over. We used to hunt the wild park behind lee barracks in gonsenheim. I don't know if lee is still there after all the draw down. Probably German barracks now.

Nice bunch of finds!
Some people on T-net were having trouble posting pics early this week, they had to keep trying till it worked, gee I thought it was fixed. Some of my reply posts take forever, but that could be me.

Those parachutist badges are nice. Wonder if they are the old silver ones. I lost my original one on a jump. I always jumped with new wings before I put them on my dress uniform. Always in my left chest pocket.

Wow, nice finds. I was going to say "Keep an eye out for my dog tags, but I was never at Grafenwoehr or Etzenricht.
