Not a salt & pepper shaker lid...but what?

Interesting find. Doesnt look very old....still dont know what it might be. Found metal detecting.

It has a shank where a chain would have been attached. might be a lid to something. Any ideas?

Could be a pounce pot lid. It looks like it has been in the soil for a while...

Nice video except for all the wind noise. Although the driving part was rather disconcerting to me since you were ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD!!!

Have you dated the Mauser rounds? Late 19th C perhaps?

P.S. I suggest using a bigger shovel and digging deeper plugs. It doesn't matter much when you're digging fired bullets, but someday you will be sad when you dig a nice coin and ding it with your shallow scoops. Trust me, I've been there...
