I have tried to go a Yahoo search under different words for this coin I have. I am trying to enclose a picture of it, but the file is too large. I can email it, though?. It is a rectangular silver coin that is heavier than my other 1973 .999 fine silver art bars. It has a picture of President Eisenhower on the front with a war going on in the back of him. It says "DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER" on the front.
The back says:

THE HISTORY OF WORLD WAR II

GENERAL OF THE ARMY

BORN OCTOBER 14,1890
DIED MARCH 28, 1969

GREAT LEADERS
THE EUROPEAN THEATER

The one on ebay looks way newer. The one I have is waaay older and it has older boats in the background with the war with a torpedo instead of the warplane. Hmmm. I tried to search on yahoo. Any ideas on how to find this info?

Are there people in each state that can appraise this? I see you are in Mesa... I'm in Gilbert... ???

In 1975 the Lincoln Mint in Illinois introduced a "History of World War II" series of silver and gold-plated ingots (48 in all), and this is one of them.

how in the world did you find that out??? I cannot find this ANYWHERE on the web!!!

Scroll down to "1975" and then to "(month unknown) directly beneath the listing for "May 9":

"The Lincoln Mint in Illinois introduces a series of 48 silver and gold-plated ingots, honoring America's role in the Allied victory in World War II."

Also, try checking "Completed Listings" on eBay for "Lincoln Mint" + war. I couldn't find one for the Lincoln Mint's "Great Leaders" set from the series, but there are one or two "Great Events" sets from the same series, which will give you some idea of what a 12-bar set looked like:
