I read somewhere just the other day that same thing.
 

Tried a few places and the ground was pretty tough being somewhat still frozen. Did end the day at a new spot that was thawed out and got a double on the 2 cent pieces. 1863 and 1864. Last hole rewarded a flat button. The shed was a bonus surface find today.
