I am on the road in the South this week so I thought I'd do a little bank prospecting to kill some rainy hours this evening.
Stopped at a "near a mall" bank, close to several other banks (not usually my luckiest combo).
Asked the nice lady about halves, she said the teller that has all the halves is off this week, so they had none. I thanked her and we joked about the pouring rain and sour attitude people, then she said "hey can I interest you in these?" she had a Danbury roll (12) of uncirculated president dollar coins. She said a guy brought them in and she told him she could only give him face value. He needed the money and cashed them in. She just could not break them out of their sealed plastic rollers, she just knew that someone would want them. I said sure, she said "how many?", I thought it was just the one roll.
It was 15 rolls all sealed in hard plastic roll with paper seals intact and 5 single ones in single cases.
The rolls of 12 are (2) washington (2)Jefferson (2)Q Adams (2) Madison (2)Monroe (2) Jackson (1) Harrison (1) Van Buren (1)Adams the singles are Jackson, Adams, Monroe, Jefferson and Q Adams..
I snatched them up!!!! I do not know what the value is but they are cool! No risk involved!
Very Interesting!!!
