Not only rocks

We thought this was a piece of a car or boat. It is very heavy. It couldn’t be cut easily with a cutting blade on a grinder. No sparks came off when grinding. It didn’t get hot either.
I also found this coiled piece that has a man and a woman carved at the end of it. The screws in both pieces looked like brass or bronze.

I found some trees that are carved into different scenes and characters. I just can’t believe how talented the artists were that did these.

Emerald ash borers got that ash tree. They can carve up a tree alright. Gary

Yes the artist name is insects, seek the most likely answer, and it is probably the right answer.

Trees. They are a mesquite tree. The other trees are cedar elm.

I have heard Texas insects are some of the more talented insects.
