Got my permit for a MDC area yesterday and had to try it out. The area is a take out point for river floaters ( 100-300 ) on a weekend. Anyway MDC said that they haven't issued a permit in years for that area. So last night I went and found out that I'm not know where ready for water hunting.
Things I need . face mask, better gloves, water proof head phones. I spent to much time worrying about getting my headphones wet and trying to see through the glare to be real productive, but I did get a few thing. I know it's not much but after the temps we had here ( 90-99 ) that water was a welcoming feeling. IMG_20170728_202956828.webp
This morning I stayed out of the floaters traffic and hit my Honey hole in town and snagged a tax token, cheep jewelry and my oldest Rosie IMG_20170729_150731062.webp

Congratualtions on the nice finds! :occasion14: Looking forward to seeing your next hunt with the new equipment! :icon_thumleft:

If you have a face mask it is also best to have a snorkel and know how to use it. Taking your face out of the water all the time is a pain. Gloves? Just be gentle and careful. I haven't used gloves in years.

Good luck on your adventure

eliminate the aggravations and use the good advice to your advantage = better results. can't wait to see them

Congrats on your finds, you'll get the hang of it
