✅ SOLVED Not sure what this is. Found near a mlitary site from the Indian Wars

Any help on what this might be would be appreciated. I'm not sure if the fold was original or after manufacturing, but it looks symmetrical so I think it was designed that way. I've had someone say if might be part of a suspender clasp, but I'm not sure. The stars on it makes me think it was military.

Kind of looks like the arrow would be an indicator. Maybe part of a slide rule or measuring instrument?
