Not sure what this is?

I found this metal thing at 7 -8 inchs below pea gravel and sand. Why isnt there any rust? how do i know what it is.. its about 11'' long and 5'' wide in center and about 1/4 thick. pretty heavy it looks like a splatter]

You're right. It is a splatter.

Lead of course would be easy to scratch or bend. Looks like aluminum splash. I know someone who plays around with molten aluminum (a hobby) , and that is what it looks like when it hits the floor and cools. Also could be a silver based solder to, I make silver jewelry and I melt down alot of old pieces and re-use the silver. Just a couple possibilities

this isnt easy to bend seems very tough. how do i fid out? or is there a place to find out
