Jeff, 1958....... There is more than likely more good stuff there....even silver. I would go back there soon.

Congrats.I would work that site.Looks like you could have some nice treasure there.Good luck.

Nice finds! I especially like the name plate.

Yep, Thanks !

We do intend on going back

first time this happened for me and it happened twice today.

I pulled 2 coins out that were stuck together, one was memorial one was wheat.
the second time it was a pocket spill, mixture of mems and wheats

which tells me they were most likely 60's spills, (the mems were 64's)
but odd no silver mixed in yet.

I did pass a couple super deep high tones, was using the Gator tool &
didn't want to damage the Grass So I gave up on them till next time

Nice actions on waiting for some wetter conditions. Hope they're still there when you go back. Wheats are always welcomed in my pouch.

Nice Job Jeff. One of the guys i work with last name is Uhler. I'll ask if he is any relation.

Looks like a fun place to hunt.

From my studies of old aerial maps, that area in deepest left field of the current ball field might be another ball field, but not an "official" one. It looks a bit like the ones that are formed when kids want to play but the only field is taken up. It gets it's baselines from wear. Ya know?

Just a thought for next time. LOL

Nice hunt!

By the way, just what would be a "worst" day? ;)

Yea I saw that :laughing7: It does look like a Makeshift Ballfield or earlier one

looking Close
it appears it faced SW

There is a well used area just below Right field too.
Not big enough for a ball game,
but possibly for Play.

this is May, 1939
closest I can get to 1958
and it looks like a Plowed or recently leveled Field

Could the tag be from a dog collar?

Yes it Could

It appears it may have been Purposley thrown away though.
It was folded onto itslef as to Hide the info.
Just a guess on reason though.

Yep, and if I don't miss my guess, that might be a building of some sort in the bottom left corner.

In any case, a fun and full of potential place to spend time.

Good luck!

the Building would be on the Bush Line on the Property below the ball field
Probably removed when the Home south of the Field was built
