Not what I was actually looking for ...but I'll take it

Actually went out looking for relics and old coins (will take old gold if I get it, but don't count on it here)
Last month I went out for new silver & gold at a spot and I found old stuff - this time - just the opposite
tide never got out far enough and viz was about a 2 out of 10 - could see my box - that's about it
went farther right from my spot than I usually do and scored large Celtic silver - worked for another
2 hrs with only a few coins and some sinkers and lures - did a battery check and noticed they were low
turned and headed in - got a clad dime that has been there a few yrs - then got another signal that sounded like a nickel
2 scoops later saw large 14k band in the bottom of my scoop - last find of the day

I sure would like to find one of those round gold "nickels" with a hole in it...or a gold "pop top".

Ring is newer silver - saltwater Cape find - and yes - out of the water - its hot today
