Started a new abandoned lot I got permission on ! Very junky lot ! It is in a pretty old neighborhood so there should be a few old items to find ! so far only clad a possible gold tusk pendant or earring piece . No marks at all on the tusk ! another piece of float copper to add to my collection . This site is no longer on my high priority list but i will hit it again when the mood strikes ! Thanks for looking and happy treasure huning ! MaineRelic

That Tusk does look interesting, if it could talk , might be lots of stories =D

The natural copper is cool.
Makes me want to head for an old gold mine, which is the reason I got my first MD in the first place, however they are at least an hour away, and I guess have since been just to busy digging up relics, and coins more locally.

Nice finds! Thanks for sharing...

If the tusk piece came out of the ground that shiny it is probably gold. The next concern is whether it is plated and what carat.

I'm gonna guess gold on that tusk charm! Let us know cause it looks awesome either way!

yep, very awesome!

how did you figure out the owner of an abandoned lot? I actually know of a very large abandoned house from the mid 1800's but don't know who to ask for permission!
(any help would much be appreciated)
