Nice find KY! Does it have any writing on it?

I think that it was probably hand made, it apears to be copper wire wrapped around a piece of pine, then a braid was made and put around it. And sealed with some type of wax or glue. The blade is probably the only thing original on itand no makers mark, but if anybody has any idea on a maker maybe i would apreciate the help. I will email the last site suggested for any idea's.

Nothing special I'd say it was a pretty special find. Handmade justifies the old saying "necessity is the mother of invention" Great job seeking it out.

hell I would say thats worth at least $50, I have no idea of actual value but I would pay $50 for it.
