Hey all. Started this morning looking for nuggets with the EQ800, which is the primary reason I purchased that model.
This is in a known gold producing area, but I came up short on the shiny. Instead, right off the bat I started to hit Indian Wars relics along the creek bottom and adjacent hillsides. Well, I tried to keep hunting gold, but the relics kept pulling me back! The army was stationed in the area starting in 1870, but were gone by 1880 when the gold started to dry up. No buttons or buckles, but I did get a complete 45-70.
One day I'll find some AU with the EQ. I'll let you guys know when I do. <---Look, it rhymes....
