nugget to dream about

A friend and I were out checking some possible prospecting locations in the mother lode last week. We stopped at the Ironstone vineyards to look at their mining museum. I thought you might be interested in the nugget they have on display

P.S. It was found in 1993 at the Jamestown mine and weighs 60 lbs.

Who ever said all the gold was found in the 1800s was wrong--big time. IMO, there's still plenty of gold to find. Which is why I spend most of my weekends traipsing up and down the hills and dipping my pan into the Kern River.
