I'm in Beijing this week and I showed your picture to my local operations manager, he was shocked that someone could walk along and find those (he didn't even notice the rock.)

Please forgive me but am I the only one who is in the dark about what is in the bag?

ginseng root i had a good spot to hunt seng but the landowner had someone come in a timber the place out now its all blackberries and multiflora rose were there alot of seed this year

I'd say about half had berries.
Total weight wet on this hunt was 1.4 lbs.
I just recently started hunting root and I am completely hooked.
My buddy who instructed me on how to find it says that it is selling for over 800 bucks a pound dry.

The Chinese Yuan (RMB) is getting stronger against the dollar, which means they spend the same ammount in their currency and we get more dollars. That helps drive up prices, also Chinese wages are increasing rapidly in many of the cities, so more people can afford it.

Some of the individual wild american roots that are shaped like a person sell for over 1000 US each; there is a middleman making some serious money somewhere.
