Because I figured nobody reads the sports forum so I put it here so it would get read and once a thorough discussion got started about the goal/no-goal issue it would get moved. As far as the waived goal is concerned...there wasn't a goal to waive. Ruling on the ice stands if you can't SEE the puck over the line. Maybe it went in, maybe it didn't but there is no picture (at least they aren't showing one) of the puck with white between it and the goal line. Besides, the league does what is best for itself. If they COULD have called it in no matter how controversial, they WOULD have...two OT games in a row at MSG. The piece of the ad money alone for OT would make anyone call it a goal. I know I would, and I'm a Ranger fan. My guess is that the camera to the right of Hank caught a good glimpse and they chose not to show it to cause controversy. Any of you that have been to MSG or seen NYR replays know there are cameras on both sides, behind each goal, in each goal, and above center ice. Why weren't any of those shown? I bet one caught a good angle. Rembember the goal in the Atlanta series where the puck came down off the cross bar but because of the way it was on edge it was in the net? One of the angles that showed it in the net was the one to the right of the Atlanta goalie. Where was that angle in this instance? It wasn't shown, but I will bet a a million it was recorded and reviewed.

Lol! Love the south park piC!!! As for the Potvin jeer, yes I think it's outdated. It just shows you what a great player he was if we STILL jeer the guy after 20 years. Maybe we should start substituting in the name "DiPi" for "Potvin".
