Found today in Napa.

Banded obsidian tool and crystal miniature knife.







This material is know locally as Lake County Diamond. Forms as small crystals. This one has been worked into a knife form.

I assume it’s a variety of Quartz Crystal. That’s interesting. Can you show it from different angles?

I’ve found tools similar to that multi shaded and banded tool. There’s always an finely etched triangular point along with one or a few sharp edges. Seems like they have the ability to puncture or perforate and cut finely during some making process, maybe clothing or just a daily food utensil. With yours though, I could see that one having been fixed to a handle as a full on carry along. The base appears to be missing?
