Previous owners of this land found numerous pieces of Indian Pottery
And Civil War era metal pieces. It is Smooth and shiny and one end of the piece is translucent as viewed under microscope.

I live in Wilm! I mostly only beach hunt. Welcome.

Welcome to the forum!

It looks like an "Apache Tear" specimen, millions of which have been collected and distributed as cheap souvenir items all over the country for the past 50+ years, so my assumption is that it was obtained and then lost sometime in the recent past and isn't associated with the indian pottery found on the property, interesting find though.

Really cool finds

Super find. Welcome to Tnet.

I noticed this was your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard GoldenHiker! Take a look at Sub-Forums: North Carolina for information (i.e., clubs, etc.) directly related to your state.
