Hi all!
I was in Ocean City, MD for the last two weeks, and here's a few pics of my finds. I mostly hunted at low tide, but occassionally went up to the towel-line. I tried "Coin Beach" in Delaware one morning, but not much luck.
Overall, I found about $31 in change, 4 rings (2 silver, 1 Tungsten carbide), 1 toe ring (says 925, but does not ring up silver on my machine), an interesting owl pendant, many sinkers (I gave them all to the fishermen that I passed), quite a few interesting shells (I had one banner day where there were a TON of shells on the beach....also found a lot of rings that day), and I also posted a gratuitous picture of the junk that I pulled.
One thing that I found, which was pretty cool, was a 1 g bar, minted by the US Coast Guard, of 0.999 pure silver. Neat!
All in all, I had a fun time hunting the area. I could definitely tell when the beach was sanded in and I wasn't going to find much of anything....which was most of the 2nd week that I was there.
I'm curious if others had the same experience.
