here is a very strange bracelet. the metal tests at 18K white gold.
it is riveted with a variety of designs--a gold horse in a horseshoe, gold screw head designs, silver or white gold diamond shapes, and some copper pieces. i don't know if these were found objects/remade from old pieces or specially created for the bracelet.
it is a vintage piece but i am not sure how old--the screws remind me of Cartier's Love bracelet but i believe this predates that design.
the zigzag engraving on the diamond shape reminds me of some african wwii silver jewelry pieces, having a somewhat crude quality.
i had a very similarly constructed bracelet several years ago, it had the screw head designs going all the way around and no charms.
does anybody have any ideas about this piece? i am totally stumped!
