I found both of these items on separate occasions in the same general area. When I found the first one I didn't think much of it but after finding the second I got curious.
Found in Luxembourg in an area that has produced stuff from the 1600s up to modern times.
Made of brass or copper except for the piece of iron at the end of the bigger one.
Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

My guess is a tuning key off of a musical instrument.

Maybe. I don't think he did for the spring clip version he showed. Just similar morphology.

I've never seen a cast music holder and the weight would not be what I'd have wanted added to my instrument in marching band. Perhaps something for a piano or organ to hold hymnals open.
