Odd score at beach

All, Went to the beach today for some digging, not much to bring home BUT! I did
find this odd looking thing....it's copper I think, real thin and falls apart real easy., it has
some sand caked on and need help on getting it off? not sure what to use?



I'm hoping that there is something under that sand to I.D. it.

That's an odd-ball looking contraption .. ever figure out what it was?

Looks like an old paddle or a scoop off something the 2 points at the end makes me think it was attached to something

Plus there is a stop on the right side that would have stoped it from flipping over but that's just my 2 cents but still a cool find

The top of it thats got the rods sticking out both sides looks like a hinge of some sorts.

It's a paddle off a machine that goes around a lake and helps remove Lilly pads or other kinds of plants still a cool find because most are
Lost or buried in the mud
